53rd Annual Long Island Classic
Open Show Guidelines

ENTRY FEE:
·
Entries received after November 5, 2009 and/or without payment will not be
accepted. Late entries will be
returned. Telephone entries
will not be accepted.
·
The entry fee of $2.50 per bird must accompany the entry form.
Make checks or money orders
payable to "NSPFC”.
·
·
Please send your entry form and payment to Rosine Buraczewski,
ENTRY FORM:
·
Clearly provide all information requested.
If you need more space, make a copy of the Entry Form or use a
separate piece of paper. Be
very specific in identifying your breed, i.e., Flying or Show Flight,
Flown or Non-flown Homer, Flying or Show Roller, etc.
Please include a telephone number where you can be reached in case
there is a question regarding your entry.

Classes will be provided for Young Cocks, Young Hens, Old Cocks and Old
Hens unless otherwise stated in Specialty Club information.
Old and Young birds will not be shown together except at the
discretion of the Show Committee.
·
All sick or out of condition birds and birds with lice will be removed
from the Show Hall at the discretion of the Show Superintendent.
Please don't embarrass the Club or yourself by bringing such birds
to the Show.
·
All breeds will be judged according to a recognized standard -- APC, NPA
or a National Specialty Club.
COOPING:
·
Coop time is 9:30 AM. All
entries must be cooped by 10:00 AM.
·
If all birds in a particular class are cooped and the judge is present,
judging can begin before 10:00 AM.
·
All birds must be banded.
·
Two substitutions only will be allowed per exhibitor on Show day and in
the same age, sex and class.
TROPHIES AND AWARDS: Presented as
follows:
·
1st place ribbon for 5 bird class
·
1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons for 8 bird class
·
1st place trophy, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons for 10 bird class
·
1st and 2nd place trophies, 3rd place ribbon for 15 bird class
·
1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for 20 bird class
·
Best Of Breed trophy will be presented to any breed exhibiting 75 or more
birds
·
Winner of 4 or less bird class will be entered in a short breed category
in which the winner will receive a 1st place trophy
·
Specialty Clubs will provide and be responsible for their own awards and
judges unless other arrangements are made prior to the Show.
GENERAL REGULATIONS:
·
Although all precautions will be taken, NSPFC is not responsible for loss
of birds, supplies, equipment or personal property due to theft, fire,
sickness, escape or other reasons beyond our control.
·
NSPFC reserves the right to make all final decisions on any and all
questions, problems and disputes.
·
Any exhibitor protesting a judge’s decision in a case of disqualification
may register a complaint with the Show Committee together with a fee of
$25.00. If the protest is
upheld the fee will be returned.
·
No talking to the judges is allowed while judging is under way.
